23rd of March 2020 – Current informations regarding the Corona-Crisis

Dear Business Partners,

The spread of the Corona-Virus presents us all with enormous
challenges and requires every day the adaptation of measures to maintain the health of all, but also to be able to carry out business activities in the usual way.

First of all, we wish to you and your loved ones that all will remain healthy and that all those affected will recover quickly.

We assure you that RITZ is still there for you. Mobile working, for example, makes it possible for you to reach us by email and phone as usual. We have also set up the highest safety standards for our employees, who are indispensable in the office and in production, in order to keep the contact at the greatest possible distance and to separate the employees from each other in time. Despite the timely response, we are still unable to record excessive numbers of illnesses, but production is ongoing.

At this stage, there are no supply bottlenecks. Due to the current border controls and an introduced time buffer in the handling of delivered materials, however, there may unfortunately be delays in deliveries, which we apologize for. We are also in constant contact with our suppliers and will inform you as to further delays in timely manner as possible.

Please contact us if you have any questions.
The uncertainty is great on all sides and we will do our best to offer you the usual RITZ service.

We wish you and your families the most important of all things, namely health, at this time.

Yours sincerely,

The management of the Ritz Group

25 Years of High Precision DC – Measurement

RITZ again awarded by his Swedish partner in HVDC-Projects with an order of 96 DC – Measurement Systems

High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) – technology allows for nearly 25 years the exchange of clean, renewable electrical power between Quebec and New England.

From the beginning involved was the high-precision DC metrology of Ritz Instrument Transformers GmbH.

After 25 years of trouble-free operation, the replacement of the electronic components of the DC measurement systems is now scheduled as part of a project upgrade. The Swedish executive contractor for Hydro Quebec (HD) and National Grid (NG)) has again placed an order to Ritz for the supply of 96 electronic component units of the type EMVI. Due to their durable quality the associated sensor heads (CTs) remain in the station, resulting in a significant cost reduction for the system operator.

The high precision DC and AC measuring system type EMVI is worldwide used since 1985 in almost all major HVDC, SVC and GKK equipment to measure DC and AC currents up to 24kA at all voltage levels for measurement, protection and billing purposes.
