Instrument Transformers are transformers which convert high currents or voltages into measurable and standardized currents or voltages. These are then proportional and in-phased to the primary signal. They are intended to supply electrical measuring instruments, meters, relays or other electrical devices. Furthermore the connected measuring and protective devices are electrically insulated against live parts.
GSEFB (Voltage transformer for rail transportation) is designed for the use as high voltage transformer on electrically powered rail cars. The insulation consists of an outdoor-proof cycloaliphatic epoxy resin with extraordinary mechanical and electrical properties.
Voltage transformers for rail transportation are used for circuit insulation voltages up to 36 kV. They are maintenance free and correspond to European and international standards
The transformer is applicable for measuring and protective purposes and can also be used for bill/tariff metering (with PTB Certificate)
GSO(F)B is an single-phase window type current transformers, Um = 0,8 kV with cast resin insulation for the use as high or return current transformers in or on top electrically powered rail cars.
The primary conductor is provided by the customer in the form of cable or busbar. Bushing has to be effected by the customer. Being insulated with an outdoor proof cycloaliphatic epoxy resin, the transformer complies with all requirements for application on rail car roofs. The transformer corresponds to the general VDE and IEC stipulations as well as to all international and European railway standards
The transformer is applicable for measuring and protective purposes or for bill/tariff metering (with PT’B Certificate)
If requested by the customer current and voltage transformers for rail transportation are available in different designs.
